You + Your Biz + The Health Care Bill = ...

If you've been on top of what's going on in our world, you should already know about the much-debated health care bill that was passed by the House of Representatives yesterday afternoon and is being carrier-pigeoned over to President Obama's desk to be signed. The new changes don't need much time to kick in, as they will be taking effect as soon as the end of this week.

If you are unfamiliar with the bill, the health care reform looks to extend insurance coverage to those that were, in the past, ineligible . There will be more acceptance for those that would have been denied due to pre-existing conditions and restrictions and will also provide more payment flexibility. Also, the $940 reform is expected to help cut federal deficits by an estimated $140 billion over the next decade.

This means big changes for small businesses in terms of gaining insurance coverage and maintaining it over time. Small business owners will be able to create "networks" to purchase insurance for owners, employees, and stockholders. There will be changes to family packages and until certain policies are in place, employees will receive a tax credit.

Don't be left in the dark about what this means for you and your company, whether it just be you or you with 10 other people, or a large corporation, make sure you know your benefits.
